Monday, 11/5: 6+ miles in. Two weeks from Thursday is the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot and I'm signed up for the 10k. Its always such a great time.

Tuesday: 8 miles with 10X100m stride-outs
Wednesday: 11 miles.

Hey Betty, I've never run a turkey trot. I may this year seeing how I'm doing all this training straight through the winter.

Hey Rich, will you be running a 5k or 10k turkey trot? I am doing the 10k for the 3rd consecutive year. Its always a great time.

I ran 6+ miles this morning, but not very well. Our kitty of 3 years died suddenly Monday night without sickness or warning .. long story short, his heart stopped breathing around 2AM when we were at the emergency vet. They said he had some sort of allergic reaction but we have NO CLUE what caused it. Needless to say, we were devastated. I woke up this morning weighing 100 pounds because I haven't eaten much since he passed away.

We did go out and immediately adopt another purebred Himalayan from the same breeder. Her name is Brandi and she's adorable. Never be our "Marty", but she has brought us back our smiles from the tears we shed with Marty's passing.

I finally had a steak dinner tonight, so hopefully I'll have more energy for tomorrow morning's run.

Thanks, Rich. Brandi is certainly bonding well with her new family....she's stolen all of our hearts already. We're all in love with her; she's just so sweet.

I didn't get to run yesterday (Thurs), so I did a short 3.5 miler this morning. Whew, it was tough as my eating hasn't been good this week. This morning I work up to 98 pounds! I think I see more steak dinners in my near future ...

Love love love this cool weather. Wow, what a blessing November is to central Florida!
