Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA lately .. work has been kicking my butt HARD for 3 weeks now! Sad to report, my running has slipped a bit, but as of Sunday I am back on track!

Sun 12/23: 6+ miles
Mon 12/24: 6+ miles

16 miles done in the snow and sleet. My weather toolbar set to Orlando says it is 72 degrees there. Sigh....

Hey Rich, are you a mailman by chance? (you know, "neither rain nor snow nor gloom of night ....")? You are AWESOME !! Remind me not to complain about our "winter" weather here compared to what you have in Michigan!

Yes, our weather has been delightful for running and I hope it lasts for you when you come down for the big day! Mornings around 50-55 ... yes, that's the weather I hope you get! Much better than what you had in Chicago and much better than I had at Disney last year when the mercury hit 88... ya never know...the Disney marathon in 2006, the temps at the start were in the 30s!!!

Betty: I'd actually take the 30s at the start. I see on the extended forecast that on the 2nd the lows are supposed to be in the 30s. I'd be OK running in that, but not much of a vacation for the rest of the family.

I am now putting in my Disney weather forecast REQUEST for January 9th-15th. Low 50s overnight with a high of 75-80 during the day.

Anyway, 4 miles in this morning running on an inch or so of ice/snow. Slow and easy.

No run tomorrow. Have a New Years Resolution 8k race on Monday. Never ran an 8k before. Pretty much 5 miles give or take.

Hey Rich, how was the race?

Monday 12/31 .. 6 miles in this morning. It was awfully humid .. gad. Good thing we're expecting a cold front tomorrow .. highs around 55. Ahhhhhh.

Happy New Year.

8k in 41:07 or 8:17 min/mile. I'm happy with that.

Family is crazy excited over heading to Disney next Wednesday. Only a few more runs before we fly out. Long range forecast is shaping up pretty nice so far.
