treadmills?

I am about to purchase my first treadmill. When we had roomates, they had one so I used it often and loved it. I like the wider belted ones because I didnt feel like I would fall off and the longer the better.

Any reccomendations? I have to stay in a 600$ budget unfortunately. I saw some at HSN for in that range but not sure how good they are. Id liek a quiet one but its not a priority, it will be out in our garage, just one that can tell me cals or carbs burned during workout with heartrate monitor.

Like you..I wanted a wider/longer track and found that tough as I too had the same budget, this one had the best in the price range that I could find.

So far the only complaint I have is I had to pay $599 for it on the Cdn site and it's $399 on the US site, I even called sears and demanded they explaiin this to me and they can't . I considered driving to Buffalo to buy one and save the $200 but they told me it would affect the warranty. I can't win .
