  • Walking Tapes

OK my last post was about Curves. I decided to not do it. For one I know myself, If I have to drive somewhere to workout I wont do it. And secondly my husband is in school and what If I cant pay the monthly payment. So I looked up walking tapes for the days that are too cold/nasty out to walk outside. I watched some clips of the DVDs on the website. They dont look like something I cant do, they look like something I actually wont mind doing. Anyone use these?and what do you think?

    Re: Walking Tapes

I LOVE walking tapes. I was (still am) new to the world of exercise but these tapes are so friendly and doable and fun. I really like the Walk Away the Pound videos with Leslie Sansone. Right now I am walking to "Get Moving! Walking for Weight loss" which is another I am enjoying a lot. What kinds were you looking at?

        Re: Walking Tapes

They are exercise tapes. You walk in place in front of your TV. The walking includes some simple aerobic moves -like side steps, lift your arms, lift your knees. The key word is simple and yet you get a good workout. I will add some amazon links to the workout tapes I am familiar with so you can have a look

            Re: Walking Tapes

I am looking at the Walking at home dvds. The system I bought has 1,2,3 miles and also comes with a stretchie band that helps with muscle toning, the name is The Walk Slim System. It will be here tomorrow and oddly enough I am actually excited! Here is the link where I purchased it: http://www.lesliesansone.com/ Good Luck and thank you for your comments!

              Re: Walking Tapes

I am addicted to WATP. She was the only exercise I could do when I first started Atkins last year. I have close to 20 DVD's of hers and I am here to tell you the walks DO work! I'd say in all honesty, from April until December all I did was Atkins and WATP and that's how I lost close to 50 pounds. Her energy is contagious and her walkers are really nice people. She has a website that you can join, it's $29 for the year.

I'm a member there and the people are really nice. You can get her stuff at a discount because you're a member too. She also has mini-walks on the site that you can do while at work for example.

                  Re: Walking Tapes

Thank you! When I watched the clips on her site, I just wanted to jump up and do the walk. I like her attitude and that she is faith based. My faith is a big part of my life so I liked that she views health like I do (with God as my workout buddy). Thanks for the pump-up talk! Now I am even more excited to start!
