  • podcasts: running intervals

Just wondering if anyone else is doing this. It started February 1, but I just stumbled across it. I did the first session yesterday and wow! Really nice to have the music all laid out for you. I can concentrate on my breathing and stride on the gazelle and think less about how much I hate this song or finding a fast song or doing the math on the clock to make my own intervals LOL

It's saying by using these intervals they can take you from first day to 5k (3 miles?) after so many weeks (9?) Each week they having you running more and walking less, but it's really gradual. Really neat.

        Re: podcasts: running intervals

I've done week 1 for three sessions now with a rest day in between each. Next time I move on to week 2! Whoo hoo. I can tell a difference already. My breathing is much better, i don't get winded quite as fast and the inches on my body are disappearing. Whooohooo. I feel like I'm accomplishing something, like I have a plan and a goal.
Pooped, but feeling great. I'm so glad I bought an ipod and stumbled across the pod runner stuff.

Gotta work on the water. Always something.

Tonight i was hungry and needed something quick. The family wanted hot tamalies. Hm... OH! I can have my scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage. MMM perfect. It all worked out.

OMG, I was just thinking it would be great if I made mixed mp3 go match the C25K intervals!

I agree - this is great! I read about Mitzi doing the C25K so I went online and read about it. It's something that I'd like to try. I added some one-minute intervals while I was on the treadmill, but I know what you mean about doing the math and watching the clock! Gotta go check this out.

                Thanks for the info!
