  • Running newbies - want to spring into running?

Just wanted to know if anyone else is trying out running. Since the melting is underway I did do my first "run" today. I am following the Coach to 5 k programme more or less. It was tough. I thought it would be. I am not in good shape but hey I think I can do it.

    What about you?

Great job, Liv! Take it slow and you'll be amazed how quick your body will adapt into a full-fledged runner!

Awesome!!! definately makes all the difference with the right shoe. Of course everyday I have to hear some smart elec remark from the hubby for spending so much on one pair of shoes but I tried to explain their importance but try telling that to someone who hasnt even bought new clothes in 2 yrs. He did break down and buy himself some after seeing mine and how nice and clean and new looking. His were 4 yrs old!

He spend 50$ on his new balances at jcpenney. He asked how come I couldnt just get mine from there. Well I sure wish I could have but with a size 11, most stores dont carry above a womens 10. I tried. Also, they only had 3 pair of nb running and none were stability. He says a shoe is a shoe. well, ive tried to explain but its lost in him.

Oh well, Im lovin my shoes!

            HE IS WRONG. He's not a runner ... !

Girl, you just enjoy those 1223s! Expensive, yes, but we're worth it!

I guess if I keep this up I will be going runners shopping as well. Thanks Betty for the encouragement. You are such an inspiration.

Are you doing a special programme Mindy or doing your own thing?
