So sore

  • So sore

    restarted atkins on monday and also got back into the gym that day after like a year and a half.... anyways i did chest and back... and since i woke up yesterday i'm in pain... usually the sores are gone in one day but today is the second day, and i'm still in huge sore pains...

    i dunno what to do?

    i bought l-glutamine today... gonna see how that works

      Maybe you'll be less sore by tomorrow. I know it has taken me a couple of days to feel less sore after an intense workout on Monday.

        I fely crippled after my first workout. It took me about 3 to 4 days to even feel like I could move again. I've been fine since.

          You may have overdid the weight or the number of reps you did..it's best in the beginning to make sure you start slow. This can be difficult, I know, i've done it myself.

          It would probably be best to rest another day, if your muscles are still really sore don't push them. A cool shower can also help sore muscles, as can a bath with epsom salts.

            Drink lots of water too - as the muscles will retain water as they recover and you need to flush it out.

            It will diminish over time naturally, and will get less generally.

            How did the l-glut work?

                question about l-glutamine though, can i mix it with water and drink, it says to drink with OJ and i read somewhere that stomach acid might break glutamine down too fast if there isn't any food with it there...
                so i dunno.. i was just curious if i could take it with water.. and sometimes on empty stomach

                  When I first started working out again I was sore for days. I could barely sit down...my legs and glutes hurt that bad. The first two weeks were painful, but now my body is used to it and I love working out. There's not much you can do...you're muscles are sore because they've been used. The only advice I have is the advice I was given by my instructors - KEEP GOING! The pain will pass - believe me. Congrats on the workout!
