  • Bellydance anyone???

    Hi All!

I just had a taste of a bellydance class and I encourage all Women (or men....although I don't think men would look as great at it as women...)
to try out this great exercise. I had my first real in-class experience and it was so ...so... well SEXY!! I felt better about myself and after, I was sweating . The next day, muscles I hadn't felt in years are sore and I felt better. I hardly noticed the hour go by and when I was done, I wanted more. I think this is a great way to boost self confidence and celebrate some of those wonderful curves!

Go out and find the goddess in you!

        Re: Bellydance anyone???

I have to admit.. that guy looks pretty hot at what he's doing XD

OH no.. nooo! You made me want to bellydance too!! T_T

The more senseable part of my brain is saying, "Now, now sharon.. You know you'll look like a big blob of rolling fat with all that weight on you - just wait til you've already lost your weight."

Then the more adventurous side of me is saying, "OH WOW COOL! That'll surely help me lose the fat off my sides faster!!!"

Haha I think I might order a video online to save my self the inevitable public humiliation =)
I will lose weight, I will lose weight, I WILL LOSE WEIGHT!

          Re: Bellydance anyone???

I had no idea guys could move like that! Well heres to the men who have the guts to do it, Cheers!

I still say women look better doing it, I guess because alot of bellydancers that I have met always talk about empowering the woman' body and clebrating our curves.

check this video out. Sadie is really talented, look at the isolations and control she has in this dance with the music.

          Have a fun day everyone...

                  Re: Bellydance anyone???

I work part time at a multicultural dance studio and we have bellydancing and hula classes (plus a bunch of other kinds of dance.) Unfortunately those classes only happen when I have to be working there but if they weren't I would totally take them. I've seen the women who take the classes perform and some of the things they can do with their bodies is amazing, not to mention the fact that they have great abs.
