Looking for all opinions on a great running shoe. I currently have a pair of Nike shoes that I detest. Help!

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Running shoes

I had knee problems with Nikes..so not a fan myself! I've had Asics Gel's that i loved, and i'm currently wearing Saucony's though i preferred the Asics. I'm going shoe shopping this weekend and am thinking abou trying out some New Balance shoes, i've heard great things about them...I went with the Saucony's because they have a wider toe box though..i have really wide feet. I'm hoping to get some NB ones in wide width.

have you been to a running store to be fitted? it's a really good idea, they look at the way your feet land etc to find a good shoe for you.

I would get fitted. different styles within brands will have different lasts, fit different and be built for different types of feet. The wrong pair can cause injuries so it isn't something I would personally try to figure out on my own. Also, as you lose weight you may require different shoes.
