  • Exercise water weight etc

I just bumped up my workout and added weights and tae bo. I know my weight will either stall or start to go up as my muscles adjust and start retaining water. I'm not worried about it but I am concerned that it will mask my ability to find my CCLL. When you started weight and strength training how long did the weight gain last?

Water weight should not be a problem unless you increase your carbs/sodium.

The problem some see when starting weight training is a lack of progress on the scale itself from either increasing muscle size or water. A tape measure will tell you the truth. If you lose 2 lbs of fat and gain 2 lbs of muscle, you still weigh the same but your body fat percentage will be lower and you will see inches lost on the tape test.

    Total Lost 70 lbs
    Body fat: 30+% to 6.5%
