  • Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred

    Wondering if anyone has this DVD and what you think of it?

    I just ordered it and it will be arriving on Wednesday. I needed something new. I was getting tired of the DVDs I have. Hopefully, this will put the spark back into my desire to exercise.

    Hi!

    I do have it! It's going to be intense, I think! Level 1 looks way to easy for me but 2 and 3 look good! I am trying to focus on slim in 6 right now but will be trying it when I am done!!! Very excited! I heart Jillian so much!

      Thanks for your input. I think I'm burned out on SI6. I started the challenge, and then switched to Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs. I know that SI6 works great, I just think I need a change. I think that Jillian is the best trainer on the Biggest Loser and am looking forward to getting the DVDs and starting it.

        I love slim in 6 but I am getting soooo tired of the warm ups! ha ha ha! I haven't done it in a while but the results are too amazing I can't stop now! I didn't do it this week but my routine was disrupted a little bit. I hope to do it tonight!

        How is Hip Hop Abs?

        Yeah. Jillian is great! Her video reinforces the concept in her books in that strength training and cardio together is the best way to get results. She's really fabulous. She's different in her videos than she is on the show obviously because she doesn't yell or counsel like she does when she's a personal trainer. I think she's just phenomenal though and a great teacher!

          I like Hip Hop Abs. It's a lot faster than SI6. I sometimes trip over my own feet when I'm doing it. I think the dogs actually laugh at me! There are a bunch of different workouts with it...it goes from not so bad to OMG save me! It's another one from beachbody.

            Okay! Neat!!!!! Ha ha ha! My cat tries to do Slim in 6 with me, weaving between my feet! So cute!!!

            Of all the Beachbody ones you've done...what one do you find gives you the best results?

              I think the best results come from SI6 and Turbo Jam. I was doing a SI6/Turbo Jam rotation that was from a challenge on here the one time and that seemed to be when I got the best results. May have been because I was working out on a regular basis too!

              Like I said, I think they're great, but I need a change. I have a library full of DVDs that I try to rotate through. I'm just bored with what I have now. I'm hoping this will spark the exercise bug again and then I can rotate through what I have again.

              I also have Yoga Booty Ballet, Callentics, The Slim Series, Windsor Pilates, Core Secrets, Yoga, and Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease. A large library of exercise DVDs, but I still felt like I needed something new!

                Thanks for letting me know! I am with you there! I have a huge library too but I rotate them all!!!!!! Thanks for letting me know about si6. I get really tired of Turbo jam unfortunately. I liked Billy Blanks' stuff. I also have a couple of great Cindy Crawford and Paula Abdul tapes! they're just awewsome!

                  Hi...I got Jillians shred in 30 about a week ago...I was getting pretty burnt out, BORED with alot of my tapes ..I have to say I haven't tried level 2 and 3 yet because level 1 whipped my butt..what a great workout!! I have alot of equipment and use weights so i thought it looked easy..but it's not ..she doesn't give you breaks in between so its a real challenge

                    I watched it but haven't done it yet!!! Yikes it does look intense tho! Thanks for your input!!!! The pushups are going to be hard b/c I can only do girly ones! Lol!!!! She seems really intense. Level 2 looks like fun! I couldn't imagine level 3.

                      I actually did my first workout with this last night and OMG!!! It was a sweatfest! I did level 1 and it just doesn't stop! I am so sore today! My students kept asking me if I was OK because it was tough for me to stand up and sit down...my thighs and calves are sore, my abs are killing me, and even my arms are hurting!

                      I am planning on doing the workout again tonight, though...just going to work through the pain!
