  • cardio and strength - same day or alternate?

    Is it better to do cardio and strength training on the same day or to alternate? I was planning on either doing 40 minutes of elliptical M,W, and F and strength on T and Th, or just doing both M,W, and F. Which is more effective? Thanks!

    if you time permits it.....do the monday/wednesday/friday routine warmup with cardio for 10 min, then do tour strength training followed by a cardio session with a cool down of about 5-10 minutes as well

      I also do some cardio on the strenght training day - it is part of the warm up and I do a bit of intervalling. Cardio - Squats - cardio - lunges - cardio - plie squats and then I do weights - push-ups and abs for the rest.

      Push-ups: 450/800
      Abs: 850/1900
      Squats: 650/1200
      Lunges: 500/1000
      Strength: 490/1200
      Running: 50/100 km


      2 Years on Atkins.................. President Challenge Medals earned
