I just though I could share my story (even tho its still in the making!)
I have always hated exercise, always. I knew that had to change if I will ever lose the weight and keep it off. I joined a gym ( HUGE step for me) and then ironically enough later that night I was rushed to ER & hospitalized for 8 days. I was not able to use my new membership for almost 3 weeks, which was very discouraging. I figured I had wasted all my money, would HATE it, and that I would go once and never want to go back. Wow, was I wrong or what?
I have been almost every day since my first "workout" day. I think I hated exercise because it was always forced and always boring like treadmills.
When I go to work out now, time passes so quickly and I leave with the best feeling ever - Like I just climbed a mountain (or a stair stepper, lol)
But anyways, Just to those other fitness newbies - Don't go in with a pessimistic attitude, you'll be surprised. Mix up your workouts, and just keep it up!
It really is fun!
