  • Benefits of excercise?

I was wondering if anyone knew if there are any particular benefits to working out either in the morning or at night? What do you prefer? Does it really make a difference? Thanks!

I work out after work because I can't wake up any earlier to exercise. I usually try to do it as soon as I get home because once I sit down there's no motivation to get back up!

There's not a particular benefit to working out in the morning or at night. Since each person's rhythm is different, it varies. I do better with working out in the evenings, but I can, and do workout in the morning. As long as it's a time that works for you. That being said, if it's hard for you to get to sleep, doing it in the evenings may not be the best option.

The important thing is to get in your exercise - whether it's morning, afternoon, night, or a combination of them.

Work out when it best fits your schedule and your most likely to do it!

That being said, there has been some differing research studies that some say (not all) doing cardio in the morning on an empty stomach helps burn additional fat/calories.

For those that do both resistance and cardio work-outs in the same session, I would recommend doing your weight lifting first followed by the cardio workout.

It is said that it could take up to 30 minutes of cardio to burn off the food/carbs (this of course is not counting that people here are already low-carbing) before you start burning fat from your body. My suggestion, use the carbs in you system as fuel for your resistance work out first, it will help with the heavier weight and will be burned off before you start your cardio exercising.
