Hi All, We don't talk much about biking but I thought I'd see if anyone had any thoughts about this.
I have a Giant Iguana MTB that I was given as a gift. It's a decent entry level mountain bike though a bit old by now. My problem is that I never go into trails or anything - I'm always on the road. What I'd like to do is convert this bike to something more like a commuter bike in the hope that I can increase my speed a bit and I was hoping someone might have suggestions on what the most cost effective changes would be.
The one advantage I have is that this bike, being older, is already pretty rigid. No shocks on the forks or seats and it's a cro-moly steel that really is pretty good for road work so I think, with maybe the exception of the handlebars (I'd rather like to have drops) , the structure of the bike isn't too bad for this.
Any thoughts and/or sugestions?
