  • I have fallen in love

No, I'm not in the wrong forum... I've fallen in love with the Precor EFX Elliptical machine.
I've been using it for the last 3 weeks. My weight has been fluctuating between 153 and 155. I'm not really losing, but I'm sure I'm losing inches and toning up. My size 12's are falling off of me, and I bought a pair of pants in a size 8 last weekend. Snug, but zip.
I've worked my way up from 20 minutes to 3 sessions of 30 minutes... that's right. I did it yesterday for an hour and a half total. I love it. It's easy on my knees. I just put on some high powered music and go to the beat. It's great.
My question is.... I guess I'm building muscle... but when will the scale start moving again? I'm also walking, riding an exercise bike and doing body sculpting with weight machines at least 2-3 days a week. I'm working out about 2 hours a day, 6-7 days a week.
I'd love to get below 150. My work schedule has changed and I know I shouldn't be eating late at night, but I don't think my overall calories have changed. I really don't think I can cut back on calories without getting hungry.
    Any ideas?

119LBS :yikes Awsome! I like those machines too, really kicks your but when you go in reverse. I think your just on a plataue, ride it out and keep doing what your doing, the scale will move. Just remember you really are toning up, I didn't lose more than 3 lbs in 4 weeks once but my pant size dropped from a 36 to a 34.
    Male, 255 start / 185 now / original goal of 200

Amy I remember you were a Nordic Tracker like me

Do you really like the ellipiticals better than NT?

With the ellipiticals the upper body & lower body efforts are linked & help each other whereas w/the NT they are totally independent of each other giving you a much heavier workout

I get stuck where the only place I have time to workout is at the gym in my office (today) & I cant get home to my Nordic Track so I have to use an ellipitical

But I much prefer the NT which because of the seperation of upper & lower body I think is a much heavier & better workout

Interested in your opinion as I know you can also compare
I try to take one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me at once
