Hi, I've seen this machinery for abs http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...gMachines_.jpg and I'm wondering if someone tried it and if it helps you make crunches easier than normaly, on the floor.

Re: Abs gadget
My feeling with all this stuff is ...
Is it going to motivate you to do more. Really situps and leg lifts are already very good exercises ... does this machine focus the workout on a specific section ... maybe ... but really unless you are a body builder you probably just want a general ab workout.
I am no professional ... but i think you can not avoid doing the work ... and until you get into it exercise isnt much fun. when you do get into it many people will find that they really like it and actually get addicted to exercising.
In any case ... if buying this piece of equipment will make it more likely for you to spend 20 minutes a day using it ... that you would without this equipment then it will help you .... but I bet you would not notice the difference between doing a regular 20 minute ab workout vs doing 20 minutes without this machine.
Here is a 15 minute video:
YouTube - 15-Minute Abs Workout
Also you can search on this forum for abs but here is a sample abs thread:

Re: Abs gadget
I can feel when I use mine....but I don't use it enough....just another thing to crowd up my house. I took someone's advice and put it in the living room so that anyone could use it while watching tv but nobody does. They sound nice but in the end....save your money!

There are some exercise equipment at my gym - something like your picture for sit ups. The best I that I like lately is the stability ball. Take a look at this video:
I do a lot with the SB including crunches, other moves like the pike,
and a lot with dumbbells...presses, bench presses, flys, curls, etc.
It keeps you working your core to stay on balance and adds variety.
Just a thought.

Re: Abs gadget
True, Atkid! I bought many "gadgets" in my life that now serve only as dust accumulators... Not to mention money spent, place took somwhere in a closet...when the poor abs are happy even with the classic crunch...Originally posted by Atkid View PostI can feel when I use mine....but I don't use it enough....just another thing to crowd up my house.
