  • Can you do C25k on an elliptical machine?

I'm really interested in doing this, but can this be done on an elliptical machine? The treadmill/running outside are too hard on my knees, and the elliptical isn't.

If people have done this, what speed and resistance is comparable to running outdoors/treadmill?

Umm, I don't see how you could do it because there is a big difference in intensity between the two exercises. For example, I can stay on the treadmill at a medium resistance for 20 min without too much effort (some swears here and there, but nothing very bad...), but running for 20 min... that's WAY more difficult.

Do you have a medical problem or is it just the weight? If it's just a weight thing, you can start exercising on the elliptical (not C25k) and then begin a running program once you lose some pounds. Brisk walking is also a good way to start.
