  • Wii Fit - I finally got one!

Took me 2 months of going weekly to Future Shop and Best Buy (they still sell out the day they come in) and finally I got my hands on one!

I just did a 45 minute workout and it's pretty good, and alot of fun...

Anyone else have any thoughts on it? This was my first day so I only managed to unlock a few exercises, And learned my balance isn't what I thought it was!

for anyone that already has a Wii and is looking for something different and fun for a workout from what I can see so for I recommend it!

    Congrats!
I gave up on the daily search for a Wii fit. The people at Wal-Mart Electronics see me coming and just shake their head "nothing in stock"...yes, I've already stopped asking. LOL. I told the kids that one day it won't be the most desired object on earth and then and only then will we buy one. I absolutely refuse to pay quadruple the price to order one on line from eBay or whoever else has one!
I'm so jealous that you found one! Enjoy it!

It will be worth the wait I think! even your kids will love it. My 16 yr old stepdaughter and I have a little competition going with the various exercises ...she loves it as much as I do.

I've been looking for other games that incorporate the balance board and so far there's only We Ski. Though I did see there are several that are coming out in Oct/November. Including one that is an exercise/cardio game created/hosted by the female trainer (Jillian someone?) from the Biggest loser. I'm really looking foward to that.

Do you have a Best Buy/Future shop in your area? If so, ask them what day they come in normally. This is how I lucked out..I found out if they come in, it will be on a Friday..so I kept my eye on their website on Friday mornings, and when I saw them in stock I did a store locator and found a nearby store with some in stock.

Hi! I have one and I am addicted. I think the piggy bank and the fact that the more you do unlocks more exercises keeps you hooked!

Although fun, it is really hard work and I always feel I have done a proper work out!

I have created a group of Miis as the characters of Veronica Mars (my favourite all time tv show) and they appear in the exercises, especially the jogging and that really keeps me motivated!

I love the "ouch" when you first step on the board!

        Good luck!

Re: Wii Fit - I finally got one!

I got mine the first day they were released, and I'm ashamed to say it has been quite awhile since I've been on it. I promise I will tomorrow. Maybe we should start up a Wii challenge or something.

For those trying to get one, have you tried to order one on WalMart.com? That is how I bought mine and it was shipped so that I received it release day. Maybe you can order and have it backordered? Then it would ship when they came in. Not sure if they do it that way, but might be worth a try.

I love our Wii Fit too! I love the Advanced Step and the balance games. I also do some of the strength training and yoga exercises. I try to "play" for 30 minutes. The Fit Bank has become a motivator for me.

Re: Wii Fit - I finally got one!

I have had my wii + fit since Christmas and it is addictive. I tend to use the free step and do 30 minutes while watching TV - my goal is to stay over 3000 steps in the 30 minutes (so far so good).

I do use the muscle exercises and the balance ones for fun but find the yoga too easy as I have done yoga on and off for years, so tend to do my own thing with it.

I just started the C25K running program and now only use the wii every second day when I don't run

Hey Jodes! I just bought the Wii Fit last night! I'm getting ready to set it up as soon as I get a load of laundry going. Don't know where to start with it. I've heard it pretty much insults your fitness age from the beginning. I guess I should get ready to be insulted! I'm happy to have something fun to do when it's dreary and rainy outside! I'm also happy all that money I spent on the Wii is now useful to me and not just my son!!

Re: Wii Fit - I finally got one!

I am 43 years old and I have always been between 20 and 26 according to the wii fit age calculation. But I do yoga and have good posture, so my balance is really quite good on the wii balance board - I think that is why my wii age is so much younger than my actual age.

Mind you, it is nice having a little machine tell me I am 20 - lol...

Have fun with your new toy - they are quite addictive.
