I do free weights at home with a routine I have from Oxygen magazine (which, by the way, is a great read!!)

And I use the exercise ball at home to strengthen the core muscles that are required for good running form!!

    I love to run!

      Hello!

I started lifting seriously about a month ago. I have done it more seriously years ago when Cory was big. I do like her concept of higher reps of lower weight. Is that still a good concept? It's been many years.

However, reading the posts made me question my current routine. I am wondering if I should be resting more days in between, like you guys said, maybe twice a week. I lift MWF, stepper TThS (30-45 minutes) and try to walk on the lifting days.

I am currently doing flys, presses, over head presses, curls all on the ball with 18 lbs x 20 reps x 3 sets. Also, dips 20 x 3, situp on ball full range with 8 lbs 25 reps x 4 sets.

The reason I am questioning is on Monday I feel real strong and my workout is fun, by Friday it feels like I'm weak! It's hard to finish.

      Thoughts?

      Lori

Very beneficial. I do it 3 times per week. Keeps metabolism up and helps with bone density, looking toned. Try it with a trainer for a few sessions to get the form right.
