The more I exercise, the more I love it. :icondance

When I was in the Army, I hated exercise because I HAD to do it! And I HAD to do what they required, not what I wanted.

Now that I can do what I want/need, it's a different attitude. I can see the results and it motivates me even more. I like what it does for me mentally, as well as physically.

For a looooong time I wasn't doing any proper exercise. I know, I know... But recently I've taken up lap swimming and I love it! I haven't been able to go for the last 3 days and last night I was dreaming about it I miss it so much. I'm totally hooked now.

It's important for this diet and for health in general so I do it, but I still hate it! Hate it with a passion, which is why I do it the first thing in the morning so I get it out of my way. The sooner I'm finished my exercise the happier I am.

I guess I was traumatized for life by my junior high gym classes....

I think that most people that check this forum are probably regular exercisers. The poll results might look a bit different in one of the other forums.

Before Atkins my idea of exercise was getting out of bed in the mornings. Couldn't walk more than 5 minutes without being out of breath, couldn't lift more than 10lb above my head in a shoulder press.

Now I scare myself with my fitness levels. If you haven't started yet, do it slowly and prepare to be amazed at how quickly your levels go up.

I was thinking that also. It might be fun to see if there is a diffenent answer in different forums.

It's taken me a year on Atkins to finally get my head together about exercise after doing it very sporadically, but I can say that I'm almost addicted to it now too. And in the two months that I have been doing it regularly and faithfully, I've seen so many changes!!! I wish I had been this comitted from day one, but at least I'm doing it now.

                    No excuses!

I know and have always known that exercise is the main key to me getting in peak shape but I only do it sporadically. That is BAD BAD BAD. The main reason is because if I don't concentrate on building more muscle I'll never really get off this plateau. :no

So I will get more of it now that I've put my business on Front street! LOL!
