  • What should my heart rate be?

    I was wondering if someone could help me figure out
    what my heart rate should be while I am walking/running.
    I am a 51 year young female and I want to exercise
    in my target heart rate but don't really understand
    how to find it.

    I think I am pushing it and getting way out of
    breath too soon. If I am going to take the time
    to exercise each day I want to be doing it
    right and maybe even buying myself a heart
    rate monitor. Can someone explain it to me
    and help me understand it and what mine would
    be? Thanks so much friends!

    You need to establish your resting heart rate and then do some calculations. There are several web calculators around.
