  • i have a couple of QUESTIONS....NEED HELP!!!!

I now know that i need at least 30 minutes of excersise a day. So for about 1 year now i've been walking to work, its a 20minute walk, and really never have lost any weight,
    I wonder why?

Now i am on induction, is the walk going to work now that i'm eating better?
Or Is my body just useto that walk?
I've been doing extra when i get home (dancing for 40 minutes) Is that too much?
Is the excersise going to prevent lose skin with the rapid weight loss?
What kind of excersise and how much will i need to prevent loose skin?
Is there a time limit for excersise daily?
do i need a work out plan?? Equipment i have availble: stionary bike, resistance band , stair climber, slasa dancing tapes!!

Sorry for all these questions i'm clueless!!

Thanks for the help in advance!!

Most probably it did not make you lose weight because of what you were eating. It probably helped not gaining or not gaining too much though.

I think it depends how good you are expecting it to work. As I've said, any form of exercise does have a positive effect on your weight loss AND, just as important, on your health. Regarding weight loss, the rate at which you lose depends on how much you exercise, what exercise you are doing and at what intensity. A 20 min walk, in my opinion, will not accelerate your weight loss too much. I am sure it would not for me. However, every body is different, so maybe you just have to be patient and see how how it goes. In any case, it is better than nothing and your health will benefit from it.

I might be a bit on the extreme side, but I don't think you can exercise "too much". Unless you have a medical condition or exercise so much that you hurt yourself, exercise it's a fabulous thing for you.

Is the excersise going to prevent lose skin with the rapid weight loss?
What kind of excersise and how much will i need to prevent loose skin?
IMO, you should do cardio and weights. Cardio will help with burning a lot of calories, while the weights will help with toning. Some say that dry brushing also helps with loose skin.

However, it's also a matter of genes. Some people have a super elastic skin and have no problems with saggy skin, while others have loose skin no matter how much they exercise and dry brush.

Is there a time limit for excersise daily?
No, you can exercise whenever you feel like it. I don't exercise in the morning for example, because I'm too mad on my alarm clock, on the sun and on the crappy coffee they give us at the canteen. But I love exercising in the evening, so that's how I plan my schedule.

do i need a work out plan?? Equipment i have availble: stionary bike, resistance band , stair climber, slasa dancing tapes!!
As long as you exercise, with or without a plan, you are doing a great job. The advantage with following a plan is that you know you're gonna have, for example, 15 min stair climber on Monday, 30 min stationary bike on Wednesday, etc. For me it's easier to stick to exercising when I have it in my schedule and I can't find an excuse (such as "I don't have time for it today") for skipping it. On the other hand, the disadvantage is that you might not be in mood for dancing one day, even if your plan says you should dance. Then it is better to stray away from the schedule and do an exercise you enjoy.

Long answer short, there is no rule for this. You must find whatever works for you.

Exercise will help. It keeps you healthy, your heart healthy and your metabolism high. To get the most of your walk start stepping it up. Make sure that you get that ticker ticking a bit (This is why walking is called cardio - you are supposed to exercise your heart) See if you can get that time down to 15 minutes.

Yes the dancing is great - good for you. This will really help things going.

To tighten lose skin you will need to work on some strength and weight exercises. We have challenges going for push-ups, abs and squats in the challenge forum.

Just don't let it all overwhelm you. Take one step at the time. It is going to be a long journey.
