  • Help! Knee Problems!

Ok, I'm still loving the Gazelle, and when I was through playing with it yesterday I actually buckled down and did a mile on it. It was very fun and something I think I'm easily going to be able to keep up. However, I think I've hurt my knee. It's akward to put weight on. It kinda feels like the knee cap is out of place, but it looks normal. It isn't really "painful" it just feels weird, like something is out of place.

Has this happened to anyone? Would a knee brace help?

    Thank you.

Knee support / braces are very good things, I had a problem with my knee last year brought on from jogging to much. I had much the same symptoms as you explaining, with a Knee cap that felt like it was moving. I used on of the knee supports for a while and this sorted my out.

I hope its the same for you.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Get thee to a doctor! He'll be able to do some tests on it to determine if you have a knee injury or not.

All good advice, go see a doctor we can only take guesses, better to have a professional check it out. See if he recommends a brace, and take it easy, if you are feeling pain or getting injured chances are you are moving too quickly start out at 1/4 mile or such and move up as you can. Remember to warm up also to prevent injuries.

go see the doc as those knee braces are designeddifferently for different problems and the wrong one canactualy worsen your condition. it could be some fluid build up from over use or you injured it slightly during all that new to it motion on the gazell.

My advice is to go to a good physioptherapist 1st, usually they can tell you what is going on & often take some time to educate you as to why you've strained your joint as well as give you some exercises to do & education on how to prevent future injuries(MD's don't usually take the time to do this), if it's 'serious' then they'll recommend you see a doctor & refer you to the right orthopedic specialist for that type of injury

When I started out I took Glucosamine which helps w/this type of joint problems & is said to help regenerate the 'padding' on your joints over tinme. Eventually as things improved I stopped taking it but it did help.
I try to take one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me at once
