  • Tae Bo Dvd

I used to go the gym 5 times a week - doing on average about 50-60 minutes of cardio. Now ive stopped going to the gym for financial reasons, but i do have a tae bo dvd at home. I started to do it slowly, only 10 mins every other day, if i did the full 40 mins 3-4 times a week would it really help me with my weight loss?

I cant wait until I can do this video again. I used TaeBo after my kids were born and I had the best figure of my life. Not only did I lose weight but my core became so strong and I dropped inches quickly. THere are many different versions. I personally like the original Tae Bo advanced video.
THe reason I dont do it now is because I am afraid of injuring my knees or my back. The moves are very jarring if not done correctly and at my weight and being so unfit I am afraid I will pull or tear something. I walk daily and do stregnth exercises to boost my fitness level first.
I remember that when I did this video I would be covered in sweat and I would see the dcale move daily it was that powerful. Good Luck!

I am a lot heavier than you and after 10 mins im sweating like mad, i try and force myself to do more but would it so bad if i just did between 10-20 minutes for awhile for me to get back into the swing of exercising? i find im very heavy footed and cant stand up too long kicking and dancing about.

I know exercise complusatory but how much is a good guide to go by? ive seen ppl post about doing hours of gym and workout work but thats just out of the question for a newbie like me . any help please?

I’m a huge fan of Tae Bo. Billy Blanks and his daughter Shellie are awesome in the vids. Tuesdays in my house are deemed Tae Bo Tuesday; I’m so committed to the workouts. I have a ton of the different workout dvd’s and recommend them all. To answer your question, YES!! If you’re committed to the workouts you will lose the weight but I do offer a word of caution. Eating right and proper water intake must accompany all of your exercise.

I used to do just tae-bo dvds and definitely saw a difference. I now do 50 mins cardio in the gym three times a week and Tae-bo Gold (about 45mins) on the fourth day. I can tell you that I sweat just as much doing the tae-bo as I do in the gym!

I think you should do as much as you can. But build up slowly and choose things you enjoy.
I would recommend getting a walking video like Walk Away the Pounds. It is easier so you can do it for longer and it will help to build up your stamina. And it is a lot of fun.
Also look into doing a bit of toning with weights. Again start small. I started with a couple of water bottles and some cans.
I used to do this video on YouTube
