    Re: embarrassed about exercise?

Girl i am with you all the way!! This is my problem its my 4th day on induction and still no excersise. See Back in November when i first started atkins(then failed) i worked out every day Danced for like 45 minutes and used my stationary bike for like 20 minutes. But then my husband worked nights and it was easy for me to do all that with just me and the kiddies at home.
Now he is working during the day and he is at home during the time i need to excersise. I just can't do it!! I feel too embarrassed! I am going to try to join the Gym but then again who says that i wont be embbarrassed there too!!!

So Girl i feel you but we need to get our acts together!!

Here we go again, Atkins is the only way!!

i totally feel you on this. i want to start running ( i am a horrible runner..i don't even think i can call myself a runner..i don't run) but i am horribly mortified of what i will look like or what people will think of me running outside. it is absolutely frigid out right now, but i am trying to pump myself up for some outside running fun come spring. let's try to get over this fear together!!

        Re: embarrassed about exercise?

I do hope you stop feeling that way. I too was way too embarassed to go to the gym with hubby (and he is bigger than me!). But ya know what the first time I went I saw folks there my size, bigger and smaller. We are all there for one thing....to stare at each other! LOL Just kidding.....to make ourselves healthier of course!
I get out on that track, I lift the weights and even get on the scale there! I know how far I've come and how much farther I have to go but so what if they think I'm fat. I know under this fat is a leaner me and I have to work my booty off to find her!

Good luck! Don't let others make you feel bad! At least you are there for goodness sakes!

            Re: embarrassed about exercise?

I restarted low carb this week after gaining about 40 pounds. I too am embarrassed to go to a gym ( I prefer aerobics classes to machines) so have made a deal with myself. I will continue to work out at home (every day I do either pilates or a cardio DVD) until I can make it through the DVD without wanting to die...then I will go to the gym 5 days a week!

I also figure if I am going to pay for a class, I want to get through it!
