    Re: Cool Running for January

January 2: 6.3 lame miles .. I ran most of it; walked a little. GRRRRRRRRRRR, I hate my foot.

High hopes for January 4th....stay tuned.

Rich, I understand that dreadmill ... I could never do it. This time of year is great in Florida .. paybacks for the hot humid MONTHS of summer.

I was thinking of you today when I heard the Disney marathon weekend is next week.

        Re: Cool Running for January

I've been running, just forgetting to come here and post! (hope that's true for everyone else too!!)

I'm back to running 7 miles 4 days a week now .. its a bit of a stretch for this foot of mine, but as long as its holding out okay, I'm gonna keep on !

My short-term goal is the Gasparilla 15k (9.3 miles) on Feb 28th ... IF I can get my training miles up to 9 by then!

Glad to see you are running Betty AND that you are taking it easy.
I developed a pain in my leg so I kind of understand better how much you hated not being able to run. Did you run that 5 K you were planning to do?

            7 miles in.

I'd like to say I've been running, but I haven't. Temps have been consistently in the single digits with snow. Wind chills below zero. Excuses I know. Temporarily off of work and no treadmill access.

I've committed to running on days when it's at least 20 degrees out. Tomorrow and Friday look good. The weekend goes back to bitterly cold.

Maybe I should move to Florida.......

(btw Nice to see more posters here Betty and Liv).

10 miles in the heat (28 degrees today).

Supposed to be 35 degrees tomorrow. Never thought I'd be excited about 35 degrees.

                Re: Cool Running for January

Hey guys, I'm new to the exercise threads (just come back to ADBB after baby #2). Not to crash or anything, but I'm a little lost--I'm thinking of doing the Couch to 5K when I restart Atkins. Is there a thread for that around here? I can't find one!

Feeling a little intimidated by how much you all run! I've never run *in my life*. The most I do now is 1-2 miles of walking on the treadmill! Yikes!!!

Thanks for any direction you can give me!
