  • Does This Sound Good?

Okay, after time and time again of starting, quitting a week later, sometimes only a matter of hours later, I am ready to try again. This time I'm going to be prepared. I'm going to read the book this time, cover to cover and get my house prepared. I'm going grocery shopping for all those yummy low carb foods and turning a room in my house into a mini gym. Here's what I plan on buying.

    Eliptical Machine
Stationary Bike (already have this that I use)
Weights ( already have some 8 - 10lb ones gonna get some bigger ones though)
    mini trampoline
some of those aweosme workout vids...lol...(julian michaels & other biggest loser ones)
    jumps ropes
and maybe a cheap treadmill (not sure about this, I'll see how cheap I can get one for then decide)
oh and also a boxing bag thing ( the kind that stands on the ground that you punch...lol...nice description I know)
anyways does this stuff sound good or is that just a bunch of stuff I don't need to waste money on.

We've also been thinking about getting a Wii with the Wii fit but are not sure if it's a good investment, obviously the kids we have at our house want it but as far as exercise goes, is it really worth it?

Anyway, I'm a beginner at this exercise stuff but I thought If I'm gonna do Atkins, I want to maximize my results and see a difference faster, which I'm hoping adding exercise will do. Last time I lasted only 11 days but lost 13 lbs, then ofcourse gained like 20 + back since then...So I'm pretty much to the point where I wanna gain my health not a model's body, I just wanna be able to do the things I use to without getting out of breath. I'm only 20 for God sakes, I should be able to run a mile without feeling like I'm dying.

Water is another thing I don't take to well to, does anyone use the crystal light packets with 0 carbs or the new Hawaiian Punch packets that also have 0 carbs, are those allowed on induction, that's the only way I can get my water in daily...atleast that's what I tell myself...

sorry for the book I just wrote, just trying to motivate myself and get some answers at the same time. Thanks.... Stay tuned for chapter 2.....
I'M GONNA STOP LOOKING BACK & START MOVING ON & LEARN HOW TO FACE MY FEARS, LOVE WITH ALL OF MY HEART, MAKE MY MARK, I WANNA LEAVE SOMETHING HERE...GO OUT ON A LEDGE WITHOUT ANY NET, THAT'S WHAT I'M GONNA BE ABOUT CAUSE I WANNA BE RUNNING WHEN THE SAND RUNS OUT...CAUSE PEOPLE DO IT EVERYDAY, PROMISE THEMSELVES THEY'RE GONNA CHANGE, I'VE BEEN THERE, BUT I'M CHANGING FROM THE INSIDE OUT, THAT WAS THEN AND THIS IS NOW

    Re: Does This Sound Good?

Oh I liked Chapter 1, I just cannot wait for chapter two.
    You sure sound ready.

Now I don't know how much exercise you are used at doing but I would say start more gradual. Many people's basements are full of good intentions seldom used.

An issue I can see perhaps happening would be burn out. Too much happening too fast.

Build up more slowly. Think about what you like to do. Have you tried some of these things out in a gym or community centre to even find out if you like them

I like to borrow workout videos from the library before buying them. That way I know if I am going to like. There are so many things I would maybe do just one time and then maybe not ever again.

Do you have some goals? Looks like maybe cardio and strength. The cheapest may be for now to stick to your bike - maybe invest in some weights and slowly go from there.

    So slow down a bit
