Specifically, no .. the concept of SPOT REDUCING IS A MYTH ..

The best overall exercise for fat loss everywhere is cardiovascular ... anything you can do for a minimum of 30 minutes to raise your heartrate into your fat burning zone will go a LONG WAYS toward reducing fat on all parts of the body.

I found that walking, ultimately POWER WALKING is great for the BEE-HIND .. and hips ... work your way up to walking a mile or two in 10-15 minutes and you'll be amazed at the difference!!

    Hope that helps!

Thanks....are you an Exercise Guru or what ???

That's what I've started to do and that is simply UP THE CARDIO.

I've seen results but, this "microwave" world we live in says... I want it NOW ! BUT, I'm willing to be patient because I want results that are permanent not temporary.

The hips are annoying little boogers. They grab fat first and are last to release it due to our childbearing tendencies as women, and our body's attempts to hoard fat for those purposes.

ttdriver is right. There's no spot-losses for the hips. Just keep exercising and working Atkins and those hips will be thinnyminnie!

EXERCISE GURU!! THANKS, I TAKE THAT AS A COMPLIMENT!! :nod Actually, not a guru, but definitely passionate about it ... :icondance

Yep, its a microwave world, but where exercise is concerned its PERSISTENCE THAT PAYS OFF.................. Your goal of permanent results will definitely get you there.

Yep persistance pays off I used to have a 58 inche thigh area HOLLY crap and now I am down to 49 WOOHOOO. Pretty pleased about that. Lots of cardio and I do lots of weights I am fanatical about exercise and I love it gives me those happy endorpins and makes the day that much better. Yup when you start an exercise program dedicate 3 months to it WHY you may ask because it takes 3 months to break a habit and put another on place of it that's what you wanna stick it out for 3 months cause then you will just do it.
