  • Still feeling sore

I started working out again last week after not doing anything in months. I am doing either step aerobics, tae bo or pilates (with weights) and have felt sore every day. I worked out for 5 days, took a day off (Sunday) and felt better after about noon. Yesterday I did tae bo and today I am sore again. How long can I expect this to last? It is not painful, it is a 'good' sore but I am still stiff. But I think my body should have adjusted by now - wouldn't you think?

    Thanks!

    Re: Still feeling sore

I think if you do not feel sore after Tae bo you're now working it It is OK to feel sore but not if it is pain.
I think you are over doing it a bit -- take some rest days. Your body needs it. I would never to do serious cardio more than 3 days a week. And always with rest days between

Yeah, give yourself some time before your hitting 100%. Take some days off in between or better yet...do it when you feel like you can. It'll eventually get better but the first few weeks are the worst.
Listen to your body, not what you have scheduled to do. I've hurt myself in the past because I tried to "fight" thru it. Wrong move.
