I took my first spinning class last night. Let me just say. OUCH! I only lasted about 20 minutes. Today my, um, junk, for lack of a better word, is KILLING me! I tried sitting on my towel but that didn't really seem to help either, and I had nothing to sop up the sweat with. Any suggestions? I'd really like to be able to try the class again and stick it out for the full session. I just can't handle that part of my body being bruised and battered.

      Re: Spinning

Maybe others have a thicker skin on their... er... bottom.

I don't know... This is exactly why I don't like spinning classes. What I've read online is that padded bike shorts help, but I don't like feeling as if I'm wearing Superman's knickers when I go the gym.

I don't have the problem on a regular bike though.

I wouldn't have lasted that long, I also found those bikes to be uncomfortable... and my 'junk' has enough padding on it's own you would think it would have been fine!

          Re: Spinning

I do a lot of cycling on a stationery bike, and I can "feel your pain."

I don't know how good you are with a sewing machine (I'm terrible in that department), but my husband's a whiz and said he's make me a little padded cover with foam and elastic and snazzy fabric to fit over my seat (kind of like a shower cap). He's just figuring out the logistics of it. Hopefully, he'll follow through (kind of a scatterbrain).

I'll let you know how it works when/if he makes it. I'm really excited about it.
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.
