  • Working out too much is that possible ?

Could my exercising be making me hold on to some "extra pounds" ?

I have been very diligent in working out at least 6x a week and my weight has freakin stayed the same every since why aren't I losing pounds ?

I can see minor changes in the body and how the clothes feel but, could I possibly be working out TOO MUCH ?

    :help

Hi, Healthy, Congrats on your workout schedule! You are doing great and I bet you are adding muscle and feeling healthier from your exercise! It is doubtful you are exercising too much, just gaining muscles!

Would you rather see a 10lb weight loss on the scale and NO loss of inches and NO change in your body or would you rather lose inches and clothes sizes with no weight loss?

Me, I prefer to go down a size in clothes than lose 10 lbs by the scale!

Keep up the exercise and the weight loss will catch up with your newer svelte body!

Yup, sounds like what happened to me I exercise 6 days per wekk and when I started I mean really started lifting and exercising consistantly I did not lose I actually gained 4 pounds and stayed the same for 7 weeks total. I would have liked to ahve lost a pound but during those 7 weeks I lost an amazing 20 inches Holly crap that's a lot of inches. Be sure you are measuring cause the scale is evil.

to answer your inital question yes folk can exercise too much and cause joint injuries.

Will working out alot cause scale weight gain it can as you are adding fluids and muscles to your frame while you are burning up your fat body stores. Scales can't tell if you have lowered the fat mass and increased the healthy lean body mass. All they can tell is a total change in mass. Use your tape measure and enjoy the smaller healthier you.

Nobody sees the scale weight just you looking smaller andhealthier.

        Happy low carbing.

Yes, you can exercise too much and if you're not listening to your body, you can end up injured ..........NOT WISE.

However, if you're not in pain, then I say there's nothing wrong in pushing yourself.

Chances are, you're not eating enough to support your exercise. I suggest you go to www.countcarbs.com and use their tools link to figure out your BMR and AMR and make sure you're eating enough calories to support your exercise regimen.

            Hope that helps!

Thanks everyone for the "suggestions" ... I do admit I like seeing the inches go away and I know being a "scale- aholic" isn't healthy but... I just like seeing the number go LOW !

However, ttdriver... you are probably right here (AGAIN) I don't think I've been eating enough and I think it may be high time I start counting calories. But... that's so hard since I travel about 3 weeks out of the month. And.. it's also hard for me to do several mini-meals because during the day I'm with clients but, I'm going to try to make as many changes as I can so I can see RESULTS.

I will keep everyone posted and hopefully the next post title will be...
