  • Wii active!!!!

    Hi everyone!!
I just started aktins but I wanted to share a GREAT NEW WORKOUT from wii.
WII ACTIVE!! It is fabulous!! It really is like having a personal trainer! I usually work out hardcore at the gym but sometimes I find myself not losing weight.

I have recently reading a lot about working in intervals and that is exactly what WII active does!!

The workouts are great and you can set them to your level. They incorporate cardio and strength training. I'm soo happy WII came up with this fantastic game.

I never bought Wii fit because it didn't seem that intense or much of a workout. If you did buy wii fit you can actually use the balance board in this workout too!! I may buy one just to use with wii active!!

Anway, as you can tell I love wii active and can really feel the burn after a workout! PLUS IT"S SOOOOOO FUN!!

If you have questions about the game please feel free to ask me! (Haha I should make a commission from wii )

the game costs $59 and includes a resistance band and a leg strap that you need.

haha ok hope everyone is having a good day!!

    Re: Wii active!!!!

Oh cool...thanks for the info. I have a Wii fit and like that the balance board can be used for the Wii active too. I am going to look into it more.

        Re: Wii active!!!!

Yes this was mentioned in the other thread in here too (Wii Fit and Atkins).

I think this is by far evern better than most exercise tapes i've used. I love this game. I've only had it for a week and have yet to unlock most of the exercises, but the ones i've done so far have left me sweating and sore the next day..sign of a good workout! I'm doing the 30 day challenge right now.

My biggest complaints are the tension band (far too 'easy'). And i have trouble getting it to recognize when i'm doing bicep curls.

I also don't like that you can't track your weight with it. This is a nice feature of wii fit.

This was money very well spent however! I think this is the game that wii fit should have been!

It took a while to come out but I'm glad it did!

For anyone interested: The game is made by EA and is offically called EA Sports-Active. It's got great online reviews as well.

          Re: Wii active!!!!

I started my "30-Day Challenge" a few days after I started Atkins and I am diong great.
I was really, i mean really surprised on actually how good this game/program actually is. I was always doing walking while "dieting" and now I am glad that I have this game/program.

I do tie it together with the wii fit as well, so that it tracks the BMI & Weight *love that you dont have to put the fit disk in everyday and can just do the quick test.

I originally was only doing the recommended workouts, thinking that it was enough, but now I have started to do additional workouts to get me to about 45-55 minutes a day to get this done.

*well worth the $60.. as diong circuit training at a gym would be much more expensive, and the biggest thing for me, is that I dont have to go to the gym and miss time with my kids!
