That's awesome!! I need to check out the prices of her dvds. I really like her and her body is HOT!!

I just (yesterday) got the P90X dvds. I'm excited but know I'm in for some serious pain. I had another "workout" on Friday night and this morning my muscles are absolutely KILLING ME! I'm sure I should just continue the pain tradition and get going on the P90X dvds!

Do you need any additional equipment for the dvd you're using?

Just 3-5 lb hand weights is all. I think Jillian uses 5's. I use 3. It's a good start. I bought both of her DVD's on Amazon for like $8 ea w/ $3 shipping. How can you go wrong? Do you have a library that you go to? See if they have them so you can check them out. Well worth it. She does have kick butt body!
      My abs are screaming!!!'
      What's P90X?

Re: new DVD kickin' my butt

I've seen the commercial on tv and supposedly the program aims to promote muscle confusion and keep the body from hitting a fitness plateau. I HOPE that's the case but I've never really read anything different. I'm not big on fitness dvds but I haven't explored any since I actually lost enough weight to be able to move my body with strength and ease so I'm hoping these really pay off! There are a ton of dvds to work all the different muscle groups in the body. Here's a link I found.

Re: new DVD kickin' my butt

I love exercise videos. Some days I just do now want to go to the gym.

I was looking at the Jillian workout at amazon just yesterday. Maybe one day I'll order one. (But I am a Bob fan )

The one that I have done a lot is a walking exercise video from Gaiam called Walking for Weightloss. It is very easy. So I started out with it but I still enjoy it.
I do like Tae Bo - yes I tip over too. So what I do the 8 minute workout for warm up sometimes, if I am lifting at home.
And right now I have been enjoying (well maybe not exactly enjoying ) the 10 minute Abs solution video (Blast off Belly Fat)
And lastly I like the crunch video with Ellen Barrett called super slimdown Pilates Yoga Blend. If I cannot get to yoga class - that is what I do for 35 minutes.

I've been going to the gym for a few weeks now and one of the girls there also recommended '30 Day Shred'. Wow. I thought I would be able to keep up... silly me. I only did level one this morning and my legs are like noodles.

I personally like any dance DVD's it helps me forget that I'm actually exercising, lol. My favorites are the bellydance DVD's, they are so much fun and it's just enough to get your heart rate up and it makes you feel sexy, I love dancing in general, even when i'm not doing particular videos i turn up the music and dance around my apartment, just hope my neighbors don't peep they might think i was crazy!!

I started out with the Shred but have moved onto NMTZ and Boost Your Metabolism. If you think the Shred was hard try these two and you'll think different. I've been using 5 pounds on NMTZ

My brother has the p90x and apparently it works. He doesn't really diet but he works out 6 days a week and he's slimming down. The day after he started working out he couldnt unbend his arms, hahah. BUt after a good week of working out his arms adjusted, and the same can be said with his legs, hah. I plan on using the p90x when I heal from my surgery, so I'll let you know about my own experience with it when I can!
