Way to go, I want to go swimming so bad but, I am so very scared I just don't wanna be seen in my bathing suit infront of people. LOL. I guess I could just wear a huge shirt. LMAO.

KUDO to you that is such an awesome accomplishment to go swimming and I'm sure you'll do fine

Hi, thanks sarah for your kind words.

Well i servived and do you want to know something, i really enjoyed myself. I wont lie i did feel very scared to get in water i actually got there and ran to the toliets to hide, then went back after taking a few deep breaths. But once your in the water noone can see anything past your face and shoulders, so you should go for it.I did 30MIN of swimming and i took my time but really felt good.I want you to know, that i know how you feel, but once you take the plunge to the water, all your fears go away.
Im going to go again tommorrow, as i realised that there so many fat, hairy,or bald, thin, short, tall, disabled peolpe in the water. And you know what i really think they all have fears too as i sat and watched different peolpe go in and out.But go for it sarah, it very good for you! and it also relaxing to do it taking your time.

              Thanks so much Gill!

Nothing burns more body fat than cardiovascular exercise, so keep up with the swimming, that's terrific! I am a mid-life runner (in other words, I didn't start running until 3 years ago at age 46) and even then, I started out just walking briskly for a mile or two everyday. Gradually increased speed and distance and now, I can run 8 miles at a time! I'm not fast by any stretch of the imagination, but I am persistent!

Anyway, any form of exercise is good, but for fat burning, cardio is best. At least 30 minutes per session of cardio that raises your heartrate will be an excellent start.

To build muscle mass and burn calories at rest, weight training is great...an exercise ball will really help with overall toning up!

Whatever you enjoy, just do it and have fun!!

I wish you lived by me, we could go together! :icondance I have just started going..... I plan on going 3x a week in addition to other forms of exercise. I find I lose weight the easiest by swimming. :yes
