hi all, i love to run, but by the time i get 2 miles i am out of fuel, on a good day i can make it to 3. i've been taking super b-complex, i guess it works, my goal is to run 4 miles 3-4 x a week. any runners out here and recommend atkins friendly vitamins to enhance my run?

        Re: out of fuel

It takes the body time to become good at burning mostly fat for fuel. On average, things get better after the first 1-2 weeks, which is the time the body needs to make more mitochondria and create the chemicals required for efficient fatty acid transport. If things don't get better in a week or two, then you might want to consider taking some L-carnitine (beef is also rich in carnitine) to help fatty acids get into the mitochondria.

I run fine on Atkins. So yes let your body be your guide if you run out of steam in the beginning so be it. The energy level will pick up
