HELP Tummy Toning Suggestions w/Lower Back Pain !!!

  • HELP Tummy Toning Suggestions w/Lower Back Pain !!!

    HELP is needed from the Forum FAMILY from anyone that has any secret's to share on toning your Tummy w/Lower Back Pain !!!

    I only have 30 of my 80 orig pounds left to loose, went from a size 18 to 8 jean's & now my Yummy to me looks HUGE as that is where every thing has settled in a BIG ROUND UGLY BALL !!!

    From my Motorcycle Accident where I landed on my back I have Nerve Dammage/Lower Back Pain along with having Lupus & with the weather change it being in Full Flare right now a;; of my Joints are just Screaming at me !!!

    I have promised Myself that this will NOT STOP Me & I will find a way to get my Tummy Toned, have started Short Walks noe that we have closed our pool!!

    So PLEASE is you have any Cool Tummy Toning Tricks Pass Them Along !!!

        Any phyistherapist you can talk to about it sometimes?
        You could work on breathing exercises and postures. They help. There is an exercise we do in yoga sometimes which is just to draw in the abs (belly button to spine) while laying down. It flattens out the back if done right.

        I don't have back problems so I am not much support I am afraid.

        Also I am thinking that some of that tummy is that you like me are getting those hormonal changes happening and this is just one area of the body that is going to be rounder than we may hope for.

          Cindy, believe it or not sometimes back pain is caused a lot by pressure due to intestinal gas. I didnt believe this when my doctor told me but then I started to notice that when I am bloated and gassy my back is also acting up. Hmmm.

          I also have some great gentle exercises to stabilize your pelvis and strengthen your back but I cant really explain them properly here. If you want to send me your email in a PM I can try to scan them and send to you.

              Is there a gym around with actual PTs that may be able to help you out??
              I'm recovering from back surgery and have been back at the gym, working with a trainer for going on a year. They have gotten me into so much better shape than I was post op. I have gotten so much flexibility back, and I know I owe it to them working with me and finding alternative workout plans working similar muscles.
              Be careful with that back!!
