hi everyone wel im on DAY 11 of induction, and ended up cheating badly today.Ohh i feel so bad for that.

anyway want to start doing some good things to make my stomache smaller the top and bottom, and also waist smaller, as these are my big problems.Well one of many hee! Does anyone have any siggestions of what i can do just in my house alone in the morning and at night so i can get in a routine, as im swimming twice a week too.

I really need my stomache smaller it hanging all over the place, is it possible do you think , please be honest. How long does it take?

    Hey gilly! :wave

First off, spot reducing is a myth, so forget about that ...........

Second of all, CARDIO is key to losing body fat, particularly in the mid-section. Its great that you are swimming ... can you also do some heavy-duty power walking? Are you familiar with the Walk Away The Pounds tapes? You can do them in the privacy of your own home.

Do you have an exercise ball? I swear by mine .. and you can do that at home too ... There are all kinds of videos/DVDs out there for exercise ball routines.

But truthfully, high intensive cardio is the absolute best way to shed inches!! If you can power walk a mile in under 15 minutes, then try transitioning to jogging ... I tell ya, once you get conditioned for it, you'll be ADDICTED FOR LIFE!

    YOU CAN DO IT, GIRLFRIEND!

      thanks ttdriver.

i wanst sure as im not good with the wole exercise thing. No i havent got a ball, but im a studentn and dont have much money to invest in things that the only problem and have only a little falt.

Yes i have an exercise tape i suppose i could try that a bit more.

I always thought you could pick area to dolike your waist and stomache, i didnt know that that is not true so thankyou for that.

The thing is about running and power walking is im afriad. You see i am very Very big busted, (HH) and it kills me to walk fast and run, as they move so much (sorry men) but even with a sports bar (if they ever do them in my size) it impossible almost for me to run.I think i may try walking faster, maybe that may help.

      Thanks :hug

Actually, an exercise ball doesn't cost very much. I picked mine up for around $12.00. It also doesn't take up very much room because you can deflat it when it's not in use. I got a lot of my exercise tapes/dvd's and equiptment from eBay or at second hand shops for not very much money.

I agree with Betty that you can't spot reduce. An areobic workout is the best way to lose weight everywhere and the stomach will be included. So, I would work on losing the weight first.

Then if it were me, I would do stomach crunches for both the upper and lower stomach muscles. Upper ones involve raising and lowering your head and the lower ones involve raising and lowering your legs. I would also do some side crunches for the obliques. And then I think that I would work on stenghtening my back by laying on the floor, on my stomach, and raising and lowering my head. All of those exercises should give a person a good, strong torso.

At least that's what I would do. If anyone knows different, then please let me know. I can always stand to learn something new. :yes

Yes, I agree Piasabird, that although spot reducing is a myth, you can tone up the mid section even more by adding in both types of crunches and also the V crunch ... it won't remove the fat, but it will strengthen the muscles underneath and like you said, everyone can benefit by having a strong torso ... ESPECIALLY RUNNERS ... having strong core muscles WILL make you a better runner!!

That's why I love my exercise ball. I feel like the crunches I do with it are far more intense and beneficial than just lying on the floor. And you're right, they are very inexpensive.

          KEEP MOVIN' IT, EVERYONE!

Didi you know that walking uses your ab muscles to and gives you a fat buting workout too?

The fitness ballsa re cjeap and you can cheat on your exrecise time to like use your bakll as a chair and workout while using your computer doing your hoimework or any other time you should be sitting. I wouls not recommend taking it to class though.

You can toss in a few crunches while waiting for the pages to download on a sudy break do sowem ball exercise and just sitting will be working your core muscles. when you get good at balanceing try it with one foot off the ground. and finally no feet on the ground.

See Fitness balls are cheap and cab give you a great workout all day long!

A good exercise for "slimming" is the twist. If you have ever seen Tae bo that is what he teaches you for slimming down the abdomen. spred your legs a little(stand up)bend your knees, twist your shoulders back and forth with your fist under your chin. Make sure your shoulders cross an imaginary center line and keep the rest of your body still. I also agree you cannot spot train. This is just one exercise you can do.
