  • What can I do in my situation?

I'm 5'9 and 295 (down from 315) & I've been doing this WOE for 15 days. I started doing a 2-mile walk with Leslie Sansone every day for the last 7 days or so. I can feel that my hips, thighs & butt are trimming down. What can I do in addition to the videos that will trim down the tummy that could be mistaken for a marsupial pouch or an empathy belly? <G> I know that crunches would help but has anyone got any other (better) ideas?

    Thanks guys,

    Luvs_the_RCMP

Re: What can I do in my situation?

Unfortunately from what I have read, been told by exercise/trainers at the gym, researched on my own-----you really can not spot reduce very much in just one target area. You can improve overall with exercise, and you can tone overall. Overall exercise in general is good. Cardio is good, Weight training is good. Dancing, pilates, yoga, bellydancing, Zumba, Stretching- all good.
What I have been told is doing a lot of different exercise---changing it around all helps. I would love to know how to reduce my big tummy----I am still looking for an answer to that Question. You may want to talk to a personal trainer at a gym for a better answer.
Also, everyone's body reacts to weight loss differently depending on their age, how much they lose, yo-yo dieting in the past, their height, general good health, etc. There are many factors to how well your body reacts.
Hope things work out well for you.

Also, have you hit the net or youtube, etc?
There are so many exercise websites that you can go to that recommend things to "Help" reduce that area.

Crunches are good. I am not saying those will make you spot reduce but every one should work on strengthening the core and few things beat crunches of some kind.
