I found a gym within walking distance of my house and I joined! I am planning on going 4-5 days/week for 30-45 min cardio and possibly some weights. I never know what regime to do with weights -- I always feel like I am all over the place. Any suggestions for weight training for beginners?

Does your gym offer some introduction? Most of them do. Like half an hour with a trainer to show you a routine and show you how the equipment work. That is what I did when I joined and it was good. I am sure you paid an arm and a leg and most gyms do offer this - especially if you insist. Even if you do have to pay extra for a little round like that it may be worth it.
I also use internet pages - there are very many out there to help and books. There are many training books that are quite good and some that are especially for women.
You want to make sure that you train all areas - that you do things that are safe for your level of fitness and that you start with big muscles and end with small ones.
