  • p90x -- ladies, i need your experiences

To the women out there who use or have tried p90x --
    1. what is your opinion of the program?
    2. did you loose weight 1st and then start p90x?
    3. did you start when you were very overweight?
    4. did you exercise regularly before starting or was this basically your first attempt?
    5. What age were you? 20's, 30's, 40's, etc?
    6. Did your joints snap, crackle & pop and if so did it get better/easier?

I'm addressing this to the women (not to knock the great success of men) just to get an idea if I should spend $ on the program or look for something else.

    Hi,

I'm not a lady but I have experience with p90x. It is extreme but they always show a modified version. You may want to try a less extreme home exercise program first before graduating to p90x.

Please email me for more info if you'd like.

      Hello,

I am planning to start this in April - to ease into it I am doing 3 months of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred - I do that once ever 2/3 days and I also do kickboxing classes and body weight exercises.

I felt that I wanted to be a bit fitter before taking on P90X, though I think I could do it now, but would struggle!

The great thing about this program is that it works you as hard as you work the program. Don't feel obligated to do every single rep. Don't feel like you have to keep up with the people in the program. As Tony says, just do your best and forget the rest.

        Best,

        Frank

Thanks Frank I guess I am a little competitive, I hate to sit out big parts of a DVD. I am really looking forward to getting it though!

Thank you both. I think I'll dust off an old dvd i had and once I can make it through that without dropping dead I'll consider the p90x.
