  • precision cycling? different activities imputs needed

I was just wondering if any one has taken this gym class or knows about it-i was hoping to learn what it was, how it's done and general opinions of likes and dislikes...
oh, and also, do you think it is good to have a constant mixture of classes, such as
    MON-step arobics
    Tues-def. and sculpt/bosc
    wed-step and sculpt
    thurs-yoga
instead of the same activities everyday...
    thank you

Sorry, I've not heard of the cycling. Is it like a spinning class?
And yes, I do think it's best to mix up your exercise rountines. Just don't over do it and become injured or burned out. But I feel that it's good to work your body and mix things up.

I have seen people do the spinning classes on tv. They say its great but hard on the um... well... unmentionables down below. There is'nt much cushioning.

If you're new to cycling, stationary or not it can be sore on your rump when you start. I always wear cycling shorts cause I like the added padding. Having said that, you'll be amazed how quickly you develop your 'saddle' if you're riding regularly. After the first time on my bike I was in agony but made myself get back on it every other day. Within a week the pain was gone.

I do a 45 minute minute RPM class 3 times a week as part of my excercise routine. This is also very similar to Spinning, but from what I have heard a bit tougher.

I have never had a problem with my "unmentionables". Just my legs.

            If that helps.

Unless of course my legs are my unmentionables? LOL

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

There ain't enough cushion on the market for my bony butt ..

I'd love to bike ride and/or do spinning, but I just have absolutely no butt. :nono Even when we go to restaurants, I have to have a booth cuz there's no way I can eat a meal sitting in a hard chair.

I take spin 4 days a week, and let me tell ya you WILL see results! it burns aprox. 800 calories if you really work hard and 500 cals for min. effort! it builds your leg muscles which are the biggest muscles in our bodies, thus the more muscle mass the more cals burned when you are still. try to incorporate it into your weekly exercise agenda. GOOD LUCK & HAPPY SPINNING!! :icondance
