  • Huge appetite today after exercise?

    I did a pretty vigorous workout today...then I came upstairs and had a tuna melt (with cheese, mayo and cream). I was not satisfied, so I had a bunless cheeseburger. I am satisfied now, though.

    Is that normal? I'd only had a protein shake w/ heavy cream for breakfast, maybe that's why. I usually work out 2 hours after dinner, but since it's the weekend, I went for about noon time.

    I guess if your hungary then eat till at least you feel your satisfied.Keep up with the workouts!

      Thanks Sham...probably should have gone with half a cheeseburger first, to see if that would do it. Some days I just have Miss Piggy days lol.

        Sometimes that happens to me as well and I just eat more.

          I have this problem too and have found that eating a high fat/high protein meal about 1-2 hours before (such as a bacon and feta omelette for example) and then having a protein shake (made just with water) straight afterwards really works. The shake is only about 100 cals so no problem and it seems to stop that ravenous hunger!! I have moved my workouts so that I have time to eat first.

            vigorous exercise does stimulate appetite, much better to workout at a easier pace. Long runs/walks comfortable pace and weight training.
