  • First post, running tip

Hi all, this is my first post.

I have just started running as part of my regeime, and I wanted to share a tip that helps me set goals and track my running progress.

I have an iPhone which has too many apps to mention, but the best one is RunKeeper Free. Theres some info on it here:

    Best iphone 3gs applications

This free app will track where you ran, how long, calories burned, pace and other stuff.

If you are a runner then i highly recommend it for keeping on top of where you went and tracking exact speeds and calories. Estimating these figures is a pain and not very motivational. But when you get insant figures it really boosts you after a good run.

I hope thats useful for others like me.

This is great if its an actual iPhone. I have the iPod Touch and it doesn't have the GPS capabilities of the iPhone so I still use Nike+ to track all my running but you're right, it is highly motivational to see your running stats! I wouldn't run without it, I am sort of addicted. Scary huh? One of these days I need to leave my gadgets at home and just run outside in the fresh air and enjoy it but I am bad, I don't like listening to myself breathe lol. I have my music on just to distract me from the sound of my breathing!!! Silly me. Have fun out there!
