  • Cardio/Lifting Program

anyone got some suggestions for the best way to split up cardio and lifting on weekly schedual? my primary goal is lossing weight atm but as i'm approaching my goal weight i'd like to put more emphasis on lifting. unfortunately i'm finding that my body is having trouble dealing with the stress of 6 day a week cardio and lifting which was what i have been doing until now.

thinking about cutting lifting to 3 days a week with full body workouts mon and fri with wed being just arms and abs, doing cardio 6 days a week with saturday as my rest day.

anyone have some suggestions about a the best ways to balance cardio and lifting?

I too alternate lifting days with cardio. Mon., Wed., Fridays for lifting alternating upper and lower (so one week will have two days of lower, the next week two days of upper etc). Tues, Thurs, Sat's I do cardio (running) and Sunday is my rest day. I also swim twice a week in there wherever it fits and cycle 10-15k twice a week in there too and I try to do core strengthening stuff twice a week (either on the stabilization ball or pilates on a mat)
