My big problem is that embarrassing lower stomach problem caused by 2 c-sections....my question is what exercises should I focus on to shrink or even better completely eliminate that problem area?

Re: How do I get rid of that embarrassing lower stomach.....
Everything I've read says CARDIO. It says you can keep working the abs, but not the top layer. My belly flap is slowly shrinking. And I can feel my abs being strong underneath.
Good luck! I'm curious to see the responses.

I have the same problem (also had two c-sections). I've taken up running and when I have lost more body fat, will concentrate more on the abs. I have heard if you target train the abs, it can make the fat on top appear to stick out even more over the muscle :-(

Re: How do I get rid of that embarrassing lower stomach.....
Hey thanks for the responses. I have been focused on the abs, so that will shrink but with the new information you have provided I should probably stop and start focusing on losing the weight first. I really appreciate the information. I have heard in the past that the lower stomach problem after c-sections is very difficult to get rid of and I really don't like it and makes me feel very self conscious, so I am always wearing really long shirts to help hide it a bit. I am ready to dress like my husband would like me to dress....LOL!!!
Thanks again for the responses!!!280.2/270.0/120

Re: How do I get rid of that embarrassing lower stomach.....
I thought it was my imagination, that I wasn't remembering correctly.....
When I'd lost most of my weight so far I could lay on the l.rm. floor after my morning walk & it felt neat to feel how flat my stomach was. Now (started ab work Jan 1) it seems puffed up & I thought maybe I was getting narrower, so my belly was redistributing.
Now I'm not sure what to do, since my stomach does feel tighter, but puffy.
