  • I want to have an excercise vent!

I played my first game of cricket of the season yesterday. My fielding position is that of "wicketkeeper". You'll probably know that as "backstop".

Anyway in that position I have to crouch down behind the stumps / wickets for each ball.

I worked out that yesterday I crouched down and up 245 times :yikes

My legs and thighs are killing me, I warmed up and no matter how much gym work I do, it still makes my legs sore the next day.

At least next week I'll be used to it.

    Thanks

    Vent over.

oh the first of the season overuse of the muscle group post. Yep by next week your muscles should have adjusted to it.

SO did your team win and how many runs and wickets did you have?

Well done Rich! For that, you deserve a packet of low-carb Rolos. Unfortunately, I just ate the last one... :no

Ya know, I used to think heat was the thing, but after reading on runner's world website, they advice ICING muscles after a long run and I've been doing that ever since .. even after yesterday's 11 mile run, I got in the bathtub filled with cold water and VOILA, NOT A SINGLE SORE MUSCLE.

          Hope you feel better soon!!

Yes our team won, but I only scored 1 run. Doesn't really matter as it is a team game!

I did catch some one out though so atleast I made a contribution.

                Tuesday Update.

Tops of legs are still hurting. Have decided to grab the bull by the horns and take the kill or cure approach and have just booked up for a RPM / Spinning class for tonight.

                          Excercise is just amazing.

I even started playing Tennis again at the weekend, for the first time since I was about 20!

I can play absolutely anything now I am so motivated to do everything.
