Im by far no expert, but what i had to do is start with a small number of pushups and situps, and build up from there. Stay with the small number even if its 3 or 5 pushups or situps, and stay with that number til your body feels comfortable to move on to add to it. I have seen results from this in the past. What i think the deal is, is that your body has to condition to these exercises, then it will be less resistance. I dont have any equipment and cant afford to go to a gym, so i do what i can. I went as far as to buy a taebo video, it seems pretty kool. I cant do all the exercises but do what i can. Try looking at this site, i havent been there for a while but several years ago i ordered a book from them that has several exercises in it. http://www.menshealth.com

    Hope this helps.

Hi, I am a newbie to the board, but I have been exerciseing for about two and a half months. I love Billy Blanks, more specifically I love TaeBo. I have the "old" tapes. These combine cardio, stomach, arms & bum!! If you start off with the basic and do that until you feel comfortable, you can gradually intergrate the advanced. I started with doing the basic 5 days a week. After about two weeks, I added the advanced in two days a week. After two weeks of that I was doing 2days advanced one day basic, two days advanced. You can decide how to best add, but if you challenge yourself gradually you can get there. Before I knew it I was finishing the one hour advanced and still able to breath :yes
Now I am trying to add running or swimming in addition to the taebo. This is my first week of induction, but I feel like I have a ton more energy and I want to do something with it. GOOD LUCK!! You can do it!!!
