I am assuming you have to have a Wii in order to use the Wii Fit, is that right?

I haven't really looked into it, but Wii Fit certainly interests me.

    Thanks for your time.

      Re: Wii Fit

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to get a Wii and Wii Fit - but alas I don't have the $$ so I'm hoping that I can save up enough by next Spring to get one. Maybe I'll tell my parents when they ask what I want for X-mas to just donate some $ towards the purchase of a Wii

          Re: Wii Fit

I loved mine, well still do but just getting back on it. I got mine in August and was very faithful to do a minimum of 30 minutes a night, and really enjoyed it. However, one night, doing Hula hooping, I was on a roll and going to break my previous record (suprisingly motivating) when all of a sudden I dislocated my knee. Had to call for my husband to put my knee cap back in place and spent some time in the ER...then on crutches. So needless to say, just caution you to be careful. Apparently I had weak knee muscles that I wasn't aware of, and as I don't normally do a hula hoooping motion, didn't know until then.

I don't want to scare anyone off as I'm now getting back to my Wii Fit...just be aware of that as I had no idea and hadn't even thought of it!

I've been bugging my husband to get me a wii box and the game since I first saw it! I hope he gets me one soon, because it would be great to use at home when I can't make it to the gym.

..... off to bug DH again!

I love my wii fit its my new best friend!! I love in cause you can do it in the privacy of your own home and its so much easier for people who havent exercised in a while( like me) to get back to working out. i would recommend to everyone. just got mine for xmas.

                      Re: Wii Fit

I LOVE mine, when I use it. Sure the step exercises do not last a long time, but you can do them over and over again and you can spend as much time as you want on it. It weighs you, gives your BMI, you can make a Mii (a mini YOU character) it keeps track of your progress, you can put stamps on a calendar for each day you do things, it gives you tips, if you want them. I have had mine for 264 days (or something like that and it tells me that each time I am on it, adding the time it has been since my last encounter with it) It is fun and it keeps you motivated. I would reccomend it to anyone, esp those who are not real hip on exercising. (like me)

                          Re: Wii Fit

You can set it to do a plain stepping version that can last up to an hour, I think?? I was bored after 30 minutes of just stepping up and down with no change. But you can also do the running one for that long... I am not sure I ever had the boxing one ask me if I wanted to do it like that.

Hey Mark, You get on it too!! My husband has done it, but his Mii has slept since about a month after we got it. My son does it occasionally too, he does a lot of the stuff that I SUCK at like the Hula Hoop and the soccer ball head butting. The step does get your heart going, as does the running but since I am not very "fit" I can only do the short runs and have not attemped the longer step exercises, on the one step, you can change the beat of the step, increase the speed with "up" beats. I wish they would allow some "on-line" challenges (with others where you can see each others progress) and adding more games and such. Maybe eventually. I think it has become a bigger hit that what they had anticipated.

Yeah, they had no idea that it would be so spectacular. THis is why it's been hard to come by games for it. There are now some games available that you can play with other users (online) while using the board.

For the step one, I have found that even at the fastest speed, it's iffy.. I am still debating whether the board will work if I try to raise it to make it a little more challenging.
