  • Yoga DVD recommendations?

I love doing yoga at home, but I'm bored with my DVDs. I'd love to know if anyone has a DVD for beginner to intermediate yoga that they absolutely love. I'd particularly like a DVD with a 45-60 minute program but anything will do to break up the monotony.

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Yoga DVD recommendations?

I use "Yoga for beginners" by bodywisdom.com. It is broken down into a bunch of 10 - 60 mins sessions - I usually pick 2 and do them back-to back. This also helps "mix it up" a bit & stops it from becoming boring. I got it on Amazon: Amazon.com: Yoga For Beginners: Barbara Benagh: Movies & TV

I also got Pilates for Beginners from the same series & enjoy that as well.

      Re: Yoga DVD recommendations?

I love yoga but I have yet to find a yoga video I really like. I guess it is because I so much prefer the classes. If and when I do yoga at home I use books. I like the Iyengar books.
I sometimes use the Yoga Journal place for reading up on poses
Yoga Journal: Yoga Poses, Classes, Meditation, and Life - On and Off the Mat - Namaste

And the Yoga Today - Yoga Delivered Daily has some free online yoga stuff I sometimes do.

I tend to like the pilates yoga fushion tapes though. I have a crunch tape with Ellen Barrett that I really like
Amazon.com: Crunch - Super SlimDown: Pilates Yoga Blend: Ellen Barrett: Movies & TV

But good thread. I am interesting to see what others have found. I am always looking for yoga tapes.

        Thanks for the recommendations!

I've been to a few classes, but they just don't work in well with my schedule. I've never really thought about books but I will go check these out at the bookstore and see if they might work in lieu of a dvd!

Hi there -- I do a yoga workout called piloga. It actually combines yoga and pilates. I downloaded the piloga workout videos from Workouts On Demand, here is their URL: -- Exercise Video Downloads: Perfect for busy women -- Workouts On Demand

I know it's going to sound dorky, but as a beginning workout, I like the weight loss yoga from the Biggest Loser group...
